Remote Public Participation

  • Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission and other advisory bodies are conducting "electronic meetings" under the Continuity Ordinance (PDF) adopted by the Board April 15, 2020.
  • Participating in Meetings:  Members of the public who would like to participate in electronic meetings in which public comment is on the agenda are encouraged to do so remotely in keeping with the county’s efforts to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Follow the instructions below for viewing and participating in Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission public meetings remotely.
  • Viewing Meetings:
    • Some meetings - including the Board of Supervisors’ business meetings, public hearings and committee meetings; and the Planning Commission’s public hearings and work sessions - are available to watch online: loudoun.gov/meetings.
    • Some meetings - including the Board of Supervisors’ business meetings, public hearings and committee meetings; and the Planning Commission’s public hearings - are on TV: Comcast Government Channel 23, Open Band Channel 40 and Verizon FiOS Channel 40.
    • Some electronic public meetings may be viewed by webinar only; follow the instructions below for viewing and participating in public meetings remotely.
  • Meeting dates and times also are posted on the Loudoun County Government Calendar.

September 21, Advisory Commission on Youth Meeting, 7:00 p.m.

September 22, Planning Commission Public Hearing, 6:00 p.m.

The Planning Commission will hold its regular monthly public hearing beginning at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Members of the public who wish to provide comments at the public hearing may do so in person in the Board Room of the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison Street SE in Leesburg and remotely:

The Board Room will be open for the members of the public who wish to attend the meeting in person, but social distancing measures are in place at the Loudoun County Government Center.

The public hearing will also be televised on Comcast Government Channel 23, Open Band Channel 40 and Verizon FiOS Channel 40. It will be livestreamed at loudoun.gov/meetings.

September 22, Evergreen Mills Road Realignment Virtual Public Information Meeting, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Loudoun County will host a virtual public input meeting Tuesday, September 22, 2020, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. to obtain public comment on the proposed realignment of Evergreen Mills Road at the intersections of Reservoir Road and Watson Road. The improvements propose a new four-way signalized intersection between Evergreen Mills Road, Watson Road and Reservoir Road.

September 29, Parks, Recreation & Community Services Master Plan Meeting, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

The Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services is developing a strategic master plan. The first in a series of virtual public meetings will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2020. Details about the master planning project and how to join virtual meetings will be available at loudoun.gov/prcsmasterplan prior to the meeting. Public comments will also be accepted by email starting September 10, 2020

September 30, Philomont Fire and Rescue Station Replacement Public Meeting, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Loudoun County will host an in-person public meeting, with remote participation options available, about the replacement for the Philomont Fire and Rescue Station, Wednesday, September 30, 2020, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The physical location of the meeting is Woodgrove High School, 36811 Allder School Road, in Purcellville.

October 5, Aldie Fire and Rescue Station Virtual Public Information Meeting, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Loudoun County is hosting an online public meeting on Monday, October 5, 2020 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. to share information about the Aldie Fire and Rescue Station project. Members of the public are invited to join the virtual meeting to learn and ask questions about the project, which will construct a new 23,000 square foot fire and rescue facility in the Aldie area.

October 29, Route 15 North Widening – Battlefield to Montresor Road Virtual Public Information Meeting, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Loudoun County is hosting an online public meeting on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. to share information about the widening of Route 15 from Battlefield Parkway to Montressor Road. Members of the public are invited to join the virtual meeting to learn and ask questions about the project.
