Remote Public Participation

  • Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission and other advisory bodies are conducting "electronic meetings" under the Continuity of Government Ordinance (PDF) re-adopted by the Board on March 16, 2021.
  • Participating in Meetings:  Members of the public who would like to participate in electronic meetings in which public comment is on the agenda are encouraged to do so remotely in keeping with the county’s efforts to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Follow the instructions below for viewing and participating in Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission public meetings remotely.
  • Viewing Meetings:
    • Some meetings - including the Board of Supervisors’ business meetings, public hearings and committee meetings; and the Planning Commission’s public hearings and work sessions - are available to watch online: loudoun.gov/meetings.
    • Some meetings - including the Board of Supervisors’ business meetings, public hearings and committee meetings; and the Planning Commission’s public hearings - are on TV: Comcast Government Channel 23 and Verizon FiOS Channel 40.
    • Some electronic public meetings may be viewed by webinar only; follow the instructions below for viewing and participating in public meetings remotely.
  • Meeting dates and times also are posted on the Loudoun County Government Calendar.

Inclement Weather Policy

  • On days when Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) are closed due to inclement weather, meetings of the Board of Supervisors’ advisory boards, committees and commissions are canceled. Some exceptions apply. When LCPS close early due to inclement weather, meetings that occur after the closure time are also canceled. Read the policy (PDF).
