Remote Public Participation

  • Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission and other advisory bodies are conducting "electronic meetings" under the Continuity Ordinance (PDF) adopted by the Board April 15, 2020.
  • Participating in Meetings:  Members of the public who would like to participate in electronic meetings in which public comment is on the agenda are encouraged to do so remotely in keeping with the county’s efforts to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Follow the instructions below for viewing and participating in public meetings remotely.
  • Viewing Meetings:
    • Some meetings - including the Board of Supervisors’ business meetings, public hearings and committee meetings; and the Planning Commission’s public hearings and work sessions - are available to watch online: loudoun.gov/meetings.
    • Some meetings - including the Board of Supervisors’ business meetings, public hearings and committee meetings; and the Planning Commission’s public hearings - are on TV: Comcast Government Channel 23, Open Band Channel 40 and Verizon FiOS Channel 40.
    • Some electronic public meetings may be viewed by webinar only; follow the instructions below for viewing and participating in public meetings remotely.
  • Meeting dates and times also are posted on the Loudoun County Government Calendar.

July 7, 2020, Board of Supervisors Business Meeting - 5:00 p.m.

Viewing: Watch on TV: Comcast Government Channel 23, Open Band Channel 40 and Verizon FiOS Channel 40. Watch online at loudoun.gov/meetings.(Click on the ’in progress’ link when the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m.)

Participating: Members of the public who would like to provide comments to the Board of Supervisors at the July 7, 2020, business meeting are encouraged to do so remotely by contacting the Office of the County Administrator at 703-777-0200 no later than noon, Tuesday, July 7, 2020. Instructions will be provided to individuals who sign up for electronic public input prior to the meeting. The Board Room remains open for the members of the public who wish to attend the meeting in person, but social distancing measures are in place at the Loudoun County Government Center.

July 14, 2020, Board of Supervisors Finance/Government Operations and Economic Development Committee - 6:00 p.m.

The July 14, 2020, meeting of the Board’s Finance/Government Operations and Economic Development Committee may be viewed on television on Comcast Government Channel 23, Open Band Channel 40 and Verizon FiOS Channel 40. It will also be live streamed at loudoun.gov/meetings. (Click on the ’in progress’ link as the meeting begins.)

July 15, 2020, Board of Supervisors Public Hearing - 6:00 p.m.

Viewing: Watch on TV: Comcast Government Channel 23, Open Band Channel 40 and Verizon FiOS Channel 40. Watch online at loudoun.gov/meetings.(Click on the ’in progress’ link when the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m.)

Participating: Members of the public who would like to provide comments are strongly encouraged to contact the Office of the County Administrator at 703-777-0200 no later than noon, Wednesday, July 15, 2020. Speakers will be able to participate by logging on to the WebEx Events platform with a computer or dial in by phone. Instructions will be provided to individuals who sign up for electronic public input prior to the meeting. Instructions also will be posted on this webpage prior to the public hearing.

July 16, 2020, Route 9 Safety & Operational Study Virtual Public Input Meeting - 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Members of the public are invited to attend the virtual meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 16, 2020, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. via WebEx. Log-in information and materials to review will be available on July 10, 2020, here and at loudoun.gov/route9.

July 17, 2020, Rural Economic Development Council Executive Committee, 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Members of the public may view the Rural Economic Development Council’s Executive Committee meeting on July 17, 2020, through the WebEx platform here.

July 30, 2020, Route 15 South Safety & Operational Study Virtual Public Input Meeting - 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Members of the public are invited to attend the virtual meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 30, 2020. Log-in instructions and materials to review will be available on July 13, 2020, here and at loudoun.gov/route15south.
