In preparation for the opening of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) Ashburn Station, the current University Station located on Research Place will close to the public on July 2, 2018. The new Ashburn Station, located at 20272 Savin Hill Drive in Ashburn, will open to the public on July 23, 2018. The closure will not impact public safety response to the community.

Residents who live in this station area and are in need of administrative services between July 2 and July 23 are asked to visit the agency’s Find My Station app to locate their nearest LCSO station.

The Ashburn Station will serve the second largest population of all of the station areas in the county. The Ashburn Station service area has a population of 94,209 residents as of 2017, second only to the Dulles South Station in population.

The Ashburn Station is one of four stations for the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office opened their first county-owned station in 2007 in the South Riding area. The Dulles South Public Safety Center serves as a combined fire-rescue station and law enforcement station. A stand-alone station in Eastern Loudoun opened in 2011. The LCSO opened the Western Loudoun Station in Round Hill in 2016.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office holds quarterly public safety meetings at each station. The quarterly meetings are part of the agency’s effort to better utilize resources, while at the same time providing a higher level of service to county residents. To view the most recent quarterly meeting presentation for the University Station, click here
