Major Richardson currently serves as the Division Commander for the Corrections Division and has more than 34 years of experience in the field of Corrections. He began his career in law enforcement in 1984 after being honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps after serving his country for seven years. In 2013, he was the recipient of a national award presented by the America Jail Association for Supervisor of the Year. During Major Richardson's employment he has received two Valor Awards presented by the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of the 61st Command Institute for Law Enforcement Executives and the Professional Executive Leadership School (PELS) session #36.
