Loudoun County, VA- The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported sexual assault that occurred yesterday afternoon in the Chantilly area.

The victim, an adult female, was walking on a path in the area of Eastgate View Drive around 12:23 p.m. on May 15. As she continued on a sidewalk and onto a bike path she observed an unknown male who appeared to be following her as she approached the area of Tall Cedars Parkway and Edgewater Street. At one point the subject grabbed her backside. The woman screamed and turned and saw the man smile with a large grin and wide eyes (as depicted in composite sketch) before walking away. The man then fled the area as the woman called law enforcement. The suspect was last seen by the victim running south on Edgewater Street.

A canvass of the area was conducted but no suspect was located.

Loudoun Sheriff’s Detectives have released a composite sketch of the suspect as well as a picture of the actual vehicle the suspect is believed to have been using. The vehicle is described as a silver Honda. The suspect was described as a Black male in his early 20’s, around 6’ tall with a thin build, perfectly aligned yellow teeth with dark gums and a black mole under his eye. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with a black Nike swoosh symbol. He was wearing the hood up to partially obscure his face. He was also wearing black shorts, black crew length socks.

Anyone who has any information regarding the possible identity of the suspect is asked to contact Detective E. Wilk of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit at 703-777-0475.  You may also submit a tip through the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office app. The Loudoun Sheriff app is available on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
