Sterling Man Charged in Connection with Two Burglaries in Ashburn

Loudoun County, VA- A Sterling, Virginia man is charged in connection with two burglaries in the Ashburn area and is possibly involved in similar burglaries in Loudoun County that have occurred over the past several months.  

Through the course of the investigation, Antoine E. Robinson, Jr. 19, was identified as a suspect and was apprehended on January 26. A search warrant was conducted the same day at a residence on Stablehouse Drive in Sterling, Va.  

The investigation determined the suspect entered two homes on Bidwell Court on January 23 around 9:30 a.m. through open garage doors. The suspect was able to gain entry into one of the homes and stole cash, wallets and the contents of a purse. The suspect was seen running from the area by another homeowner and fled in a white Toyota Highlander. The vehicle was later determined to have been stolen from Winding Branch Terrace in the Sterling area on the same day. The vehicle was later recovered in the area of Margate Court. 

Robinson is charged with two counts of felony burglary, two counts of felony credit card fraud, and felony grand larceny for the theft of the Toyota Highlander. Robinson was also charged with receiving stolen goods from a previous auto theft case in December 2016 where a vehicle was stolen from Bluemont Junction Square. The vehicle was reported stolen on December 5 and recovered on December 29 in the area of Ruritan Circle. 

Robinson remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond. 

Additional charges are pending further investigation.
