LCSO Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Potomac View Road

Loudoun County, VA- The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash on Potomac View Road in Sterling, Va.
 
Around 5:40 p.m. on December 27, deputies responded to the area of Potomac View Road and S. Cottage Road where an adult male was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle and a passenger initially left the scene but later returned.
 
The pedestrian, an adult male, was taken to Reston Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The name of the victim has not been released at this time pending notification of next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation by members of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit and the Criminal Investigations Division.
