Loudoun County, VA (October 13, 2023) – Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) corrections and courts recruits were recognized for their leadership roles as they graduated from the thirteenth session of the Skyline Regional Criminal Justice Academy in Middletown, VA, on October 12, 2023.
The LCSO members of the graduating class are Ayesha Malik (Courts), Christina Reeder (Courts), Jaehyun Park (Corrections), and Austin Shipp (Corrections).
Deputy Reeder took the highest honor in the class, receiving the Sergeant Ricky L. Timbrook Award, named in honor of the Winchester Police Department Officer who gave his life in the line of duty. The award goes to the recruit who personifies the highest standards. Deputy Reeder placed second in the Skill Performance Award and also received the Top Physical Fitness (female) award.
Deputy Park received the Top Physical Fitness (male) award, while Deputy Shipp placed third.
Deputy Malik placed second in the Overall Performance Award.
The new court deputy will now have eight weeks of in-house training at the Loudoun County Courthouse while the correctional deputies will begin a 12-week in-house training program at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center (ADC).
The Skyline Regional Criminal Justice Academy is a regional training academy that trains basic and veteran law enforcement officers, correctional officers, and communications officers for agencies throughout the Commonwealth.
