Sheriff’s Office Investigating Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in Ashburn

Copy of Press Release

A 19-year-old Ashburn man died following a fatal crash that occurred yesterday evening.  Deputies responded shortly before 10:00 p.m. to the intersection of Gloucester Parkway and Runnymeade Terrace for a single-vehicle crash involving a white 2018 Honda Civic.

Preliminarily, investigators from our Crash Reconstruction Unit determined the operator of the Honda, Asad Kaleem, was traveling west on Gloucester Parkway in the left lane when his car crashed into a pole in the center median.  Kaleem was taken to Lansdowne hospital with apparent life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.

No one else was injured in the crash, and at this time it does not appear that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

Anyone with information about this crash is asked to contact Investigator M. Lotz of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit at 703-777-1021 or [email protected]
