Whether you’re planning some late fall yardwork or getting ready for winter, the current Loudoun County government surplus auction features items you might need. They include a Woods backhoe, a Toro seeder, a Bush Hog finish mower, a Sno-Way snowplow and more. Other featured items include plastic folding tables with a cart, Rubbermaid bushel carts and plastic bins, a variety of DVDs for children and typical office surplus items, including computers, file cabinets, furniture and corkboards. The auction closes at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2021.

Loudoun County sells selected items online through Public Surplus, which was created specifically for public agencies. Anyone interested in bidding on the items must be registered with www.publicsurplus.com. Registration is free; however, a 9.75% buyer’s premium is charged to all purchases. Loudoun County government and school employees are subject to bidding limitations under the auction terms and conditions, which are available on the Public Surplus site.
Loudoun County has specific hours for buyers to pick up their items at 14 Cardinal Park Drive, Suite 106, in Leesburg. Items must be picked up by appointment, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. The dates for items to be picked up are noted on each auction item listed on the Loudoun County auction site.
