The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting, Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. in the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison Street SE, in Leesburg. The purpose of the meeting is to consider items related to the county’s legislative program during the current special session of the Virginia General Assembly, including formalizing an unofficial straw vote on several pieces of legislation.
The special meeting will be conducted as an electronic meeting under the Continuity Ordinance (PDF) adopted by the Board in April 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting will be televised on Comcast Government Channel 23, Open Band Channel 40 and Verizon FiOS Channel 40 and livestreamed at loudoun.gov/meetings.
The special meeting will be held immediately preceding the Board’s regularly scheduled monthly public hearing, which begins at 6:00 p.m., September 9, and will also be conducted as an electronic meeting. Residents who would like to provide input to the Board during the public hearing will find instructions at loudoun.gov/remoteparticipation. The public hearing also will be televised on Comcast Government Channel 23, Open Band Channel 40 and Verizon FiOS Channel 40 and livestreamed at loudoun.gov/meetings.
The Board Room at the Loudoun County Government Center is open during Board of Supervisors’ meetings for anyone who wishes to attend in person with social distancing measures in effect.
