Loudoun County is hosting meetings to gain input from the public on a 12-mile segment of Route 15 South between the Town of Leesburg and Prince William County. Members of the public are invited to attend one of two upcoming meetings to share their experiences driving this stretch of road, any concerns about the road and suggestions for safety improvements. Attendees will also learn about the county’s study of the road corridor. The meetings will be held:
- Wednesday, March 25, 2020, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Evergreen Mill Elementary School, 491 Evergreen Mill Road SE, Leesburg.
- Saturday, March 28, 2020, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Aldie Elementary School, 23269 Meetinghouse Lane, Aldie.
Loudoun County is conducting a Route 15 South Safety and Operational Study. The purpose of the study is to identify safety and traffic operational issues and present recommended solutions for consideration by the Board of Supervisors. The county is working with the public to ensure any proposed improvements along Route 15 South will continue to carry local and commuter traffic safely and efficiently while preserving the unique context of the historical roadway.
