Loudoun Electoral Board to Hold Drawing for Ballot Order for Soil and Water Conservation Director

The Loudoun Electoral Board will hold a drawing Friday, June 14, 2019, to determine the ballot order in the November general election for two of the candidates for Soil and Water Conservation Director, Loudoun District. 

On Thursday, June 6, 2019, at 9:25 a.m. two candidates, George Melik-Agamirian and Jasvinder “Jimmy” Singh, appeared simultaneously at the Office of Elections and Voter Registration to submit candidate paperwork for the office of Soil and Water Conservation Director, Loudoun District.

Under the Code of Virginia §24.2-613, In the event that “two or more candidates file simultaneously, the order of filing shall then be determined by lot by the electoral board as in the case of a tie vote for the office.” 

The Loudoun Electoral Board will conduct a drawing on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at 750 Miller Drive SE, Suite C, in Leesburg  to determine which of the two candidates will appear fourth on the ballot and which will appear fifth on the ballot.  

Other candidates that will appear on the November 5, 2019, ballot for Soil and Water Conservation Director, Loudoun District are:

  • John P. Flannery II
  • Marina R. Schumacher
  • Michelle C. Thomas
  • James K. Wylie
