Loudoun County, VA- Two teenagers are in custody in connection with an attempted robbery and robbery in the Sterling area last month.
Jordan K. McNally, 18, of Herndon and a juvenile from Centreville were apprehended last week. Both suspects are charged with robbery and attempted robbery. McNally is additionally charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The name of the juvenile cannot be released due to the fact he is a minor.
The arrests stem from two incidents reported on December 23 in the area of 22300 block of S. Sterling Boulevard. A third-party witness initially contacted law enforcement and reported seeing several unknown males involved in an altercation and involving a possible weapon. It was determined an adult male and his son were leaving a business when they were confronted by two suspects in a parking lot. One of suspects brandished a possible box cutter. The suspects demanded cash. The child began to scream and the suspects fled the area.
It was determined prior to the attempted robbery; a teenager was confronted by the same suspects in the same area of the shopping center. One of the suspects displayed a possible firearm in his waistband and demanded money. The suspects took a small amount of cash from the victim.
The suspects were identified through the course of the investigation and apprehended on January 12. McNally remains held on no bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and the juvenile is being held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.
