Rolling Ridge Elementary Student Receives 2012 AAA Outstanding School Safety Patrol Award
Loudoun County, VA – A Loudoun County Elementary School student was recently named the 2012 AAA Outstanding School Safety Patrol Award winner.
Brenda Navarro Henriquez, a fifth grader at Rolling Ridge Elementary School, was one of 13 honorees in the Washington, DC, Metropolitan area. Brenda was recognized as she is known to take on any task and accomplish it beyond expectations.
“The School Safety Patrol Program plays a vital role in ensuring our children get to and from school safely,” said Loudoun County Sheriff Michael L. Chapman. “I am proud of Brenda and all of the students who dedicate their time to this program,” Chapman added.
The selection criteria for the 2012 AAA Outstanding School Safety Patrol Award include leadership, dependability, academics, promptness, and industriousness. Each Loudoun County school nominates one safety patrol officer and the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office selects the winner from the entries every year.
The Mid-Atlantic Foundation For Safety and Education’s Outstanding AAA School Safety Patrol Awards Program recognizes patrol members from the AAA Mid-Atlantic service area. Each honoree received a plaque recognizing his or her accomplishments and a gift card.
