Loudoun County, VA-
An 82-year-old Sterling man who had been missing since Friday was located safe this morning by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team.

Noah C. Brechbiel, 82, was last seen April 13 around 5 p.m. near his residence on Enterprise Street and was reported missing on Sunday afternoon.

After issuing messages through Alert Loudoun and on social media, the LCSO received several reports from residents that they had seen the missing man in the area of Claude Moore Park on Friday and again on Saturday. A search of the area began Sunday and continued this morning with the use of ATV’s and the LCSO small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS), commonly referred to as a drone, to assist in the search.

Mr. Brechbiel was located by deputies on ATV’s on a trail in a wooded area of the park and was taken to a local hospital by rescue personnel for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the community for their assistance during the search.
