Willfully Discharging of a Firearm after Altercation at Festival
Loudoun County, Va-
A West Virginia man was arrested Sunday evening after he discharged a firearm during a privately held multiple day music festival in the area of 24000 Block of Quail Ridge Way in Aldie.
Charles E. Crowley, 33, of Shanks, WV, was reportedly involved in a disorderly conduct incident prior to the shooting. Around 3:30 p.m. Sunday he discharged a firearm after a physical struggle with on scene private security officers. During the struggle Crowley pointed the firearm at security officers and attempted to fire the weapon. The weapon was jammed and the security officers were able to detain Crowley before deputies arrived.
There were no injuries reported and a firearm was recovered at the scene.

Crowley was taken into custody by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office without incident and was charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder and Willfully discharging firearms in public places.

Crowley was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries he sustained during the physical altercation with the security officers.

Crowley is currently being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
