Crews working to construct Lovettsville Community Park in Lovettsville, Virginia have completed installing structures on the park grounds, including a ballfield pavilion and prefabricated restroom and concession buildings. Located near East Broadway, Lovettsville Road and Milltown Road in Lovettsville, this project includes the construction of 90 acres of park facilities. In addition to completing park structures, work to grade and prepare the amphitheater area and non-athletic field areas for seeding an asphalt is complete.
In the coming weeks, crews will continue work to install lights and irrigation at the athletic fields. The installation of fencing for various feature areas of the park is underway, such as the off-leash and equestrian areas, and surface material installation for the equine area has begun.
When complete, Lovettsville Community Park facilities will include equestrian trails, walking trails, off-leash areas, a pond, and amphitheater. It will also include four softball/baseball fields, three soccer fields and an equestrian area. The park will be operated by the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services.
The construction project includes improvements to the southern entrance and a new asphalt play area at Lovettsville Elementary School. Other additions to the park site include site lighting, athletic field lighting, athletic field irrigation systems, fencing, retaining walls, athletic field accessories, flag poles, utility infrastructure, storm water grading, piping, and landscaping.
