The Loudoun County Data Toolkit is a resource that brings together a myriad of publicly available data intended to help nonprofits and other organizations tell their stories in a compelling way when they apply for grant funding. The data toolkit furthers the county’s objective to help support nonprofit organizations in diversifying their funding resources.
The toolkit organizes resources by category, which are defined in the beginning of the toolkit. Within the categories, the resources are separated into national, state, local and evidence-based research sources in a table format with links to external websites. Additional resources include training materials from the county’s Data Management Best Practices series.
Loudoun County offers capacity-building professional development trainings to nonprofits to assist in diversifying funding and leveraging more resources in the Loudoun County community. These trainings are designed to highlight resources and best practices from peer organizations and provide hands-on technical assistance to participants.
