The CARE Program provides temporary assistance to residents of Loudoun County who are temporarily unable to provide veterinary care for their beloved companion animals. The program strives to preserve the bond between owners and their companion animals by providing temporary financial assistance, with the goal of keeping pets in loving homes.
How Loudoun County Animal Services Can Help
The CARE program is currently closed for applications. The program will reopen at the end of July 2020, so please check back for updates.
If you need assistance feeding your pet, support is available through the Loudoun Pet Pantry located at Loudoun Hunger Relief. For more information visit the Pet Pantry site or call Loudoun Hunger Relief at 703-777-5911.
Spay / Neuter
If you are interested in having your dog or cat spayed or neutered but cannot afford to do so, the CARE spay/neuter program can help. Loudoun County residents can receive a spay/neuter voucher. Vouchers cover spay/neuter costs only, vaccines, blood-work or other medical conditions are not covered. Vouchers must be used within 90 days and are only valid at participating partner vets. To request a voucher please email Loudoun County Animal Services. Proof of Loudoun County residency is required.

We accept donations in support of the CARE Program. If you would like to donate to CARE, please make checks payable to Loudoun County Animal Services and indicate “CARE Program” in the memo section of your check. LCAS is a 170c organization and your donations to LCAS are tax deductible!
