The LCSO and Loudoun County Government enhanced the Loudoun Traffic Incident Activity Map to provide users with even more real-time traffic-related data. The map combines information from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Emergency Communications Center, ESRI, Google Traffic and the Waze app.
Loudoun County was one of the first Virginia localities to participate in the Waze Connected Citizens Program.
The LCSO began providing local incident data directly to Waze, the world’s largest community-based traffic and navigation app. As a result, Waze users will have an enhanced experience in Loudoun because data is sent directly to Waze from the county’s Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, LCSO calls, and calls that are dispatched by the LCSO Dispatch Center to the Virginia State Police.
