Staff presented ZOAM-2016 to 0005, Temporary/Political Signs, before the Board of Supervisors Transportation and Land Use Committee (TLUC) on June 16, 2017. TLUC forwarded the ZOAM to the July 20, 2017 Board of Supervisors meeting for action. The meeting is available for viewing.

Staff presented changes to the Revised 1993 Zoning Ordinance for Temporary/Political Signs on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the Board of Supervisors Public Hearing. The Board of Supervisors forwarded ZOAM-2016 to 0005, Temporary/Political Signs to the Transportation and Land Use Committee for further discussion. The Loudoun County Planning Commission held a work session on the "Temporary/Political Signs" Zoning Ordinance Amendment (ZOAM) on July 26, 2016. At the conclusion of the work session, the Planning Commission voted to forward the item to the Board of Supervisors with a recommendation of approval. View a webcast of the meeting.

June 28, 2016

The Loudoun County Planning Commission held a public hearing on the "Temporary/Political Signs" Zoning Ordinance Amendment (ZOAM) on June 28, 2016. At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Planning Commission voted to forward the ZOAM to the July work session for further discussion and to address the outstanding issues identified in the staff report. The Board of Supervisors adopted the Resolution of Intent to Amend Zoning Ordinance Amendment 2016 to 0005 to revise the "temporary sign" regulations in the Sign Requirements Matrix so that all types of temporary signs are subject to the same regulations at the April 5, 2016, Board of Supervisors business meeting.
