Service Changes for Loudoun County Transit
Loudoun County Transit Workers’ Labor Action to End; County to Begin Phasing in Bus Service
The impact of the labor action that has impacted Loudoun County Transit Services for more than nine weeks is expected to ease beginning the week of March 20, 2023. Bus drivers who are employed by Loudoun County’s transit contractor, Keolis, have indicated they will begin returning to work as early as this week. In the coming weeks, Loudoun County Transit will work closely with Keolis to phase in local bus routes, routes connecting to Metro stations and commuter bus service. Please check this page frequently for updates.
Service updates for Tuesday, March 21, 2023 are currently as follows:
Commuter Bus Service
- Commuter Bus Service will not run.
Local Bus Service
- The following routes will operate on a regular schedule:
- Route 54: Leesburg Safety Ride
- Route 55: Leesburg Routes (Exeter/Tuscarora)
- Route 56: Leesburg Routes (Rust Library/Ida Lee)
- Route 57: Village at Leesburg
- Route 62: Ashburn Connector
- Route 70: Leesburg to Sterling via Leesburg Pike will operate every half hour (7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, 9:00 AM, etc.), Monday through Friday.
- Route 80: Sugarland Run Connector
- Route 81: Countryside Connector
- Route 82: Sterling Connector
Loudoun County Courthouse Shuttle
- The Loudoun County Courthouse Shuttle from the Pennington Garage and Lot to the Courthouse will operate on a regular schedule.
Paratransit Service
- Paratransit Service will operate on regular schedules.
Silver Line Bus Service
- The following routes will operate on a regular schedule:
- Route 312: Potomac Falls
- Route 322: Atlantic Boulevard Connector
- Route 333: Quantum Park/Pacific Boulevard/Loudoun Gateway
- Route 381: South Riding
- Route 391: Purcellville/Harmony
Service Change Notifications
- All riders should monitor this web page, loudoun.gov/buschanges, after 4:00 a.m. for possible unexpected service changes. A voice mail message at 703-771-5665 also will be updated should any service changes occur.
- To receive Loudoun County Transit notifications, download Transit app for free on Google Play or the Apple Store. After download, set your favorite routes to begin receiving notifications for the buses you ride. For more information, visit loudoun.gov/transitapp.
