COVID-19 Transit Impacts: Current Bus Service Changes 

The following information includes all Loudoun County Transit bus service reductions and operational changes to date, due to COVID-19.

Operational Changes for Ongoing Bus Services

  • Fares have been suspended on all routes for at least 60 days in order to reduce interactions between passengers and drivers, as well as to eliminate the need for transit staff and drivers to handle cash.
  • Loudoun County Transit will load passengers through the rear door, when possible, to meet social distancing protocols.

Bus Service Current Status

  1. Premium Commuter 
  2. Metro Connection
  3. Local Fixed Route
  4. ADA/Paratransit

Premium Commuter Bus Service to and from Washington DC, Rosslyn, Crystal City and the Pentagon is suspended until further notice. No buses will run.


All riders should monitor this web page, loudoun.gov/buschanges, after 4:00 a.m. for possible unexpected service changes. A voice mail message at 703-771-5665 also will be updated should any service changes occur.
