The Loudoun County Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is prepared annually by the Division of Accounting and Financial Analysis in the Department of Finance and Procurement.
The report identifies the county's financial position and marks the country's financial activities over the previous fiscal year. The most recent CAFR, for Fiscal Year 2018, is online as are the CAFRs for each year dating back to Fiscal Year 2001.
Loudoun County is consistently recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the CAFR. The CAFRs are consistently judged to have met the high standards of the awards program for governmental accounting and financial reporting. The reports have also been cited for demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate the county's financial story.
