Franklin Park is a regional park in western Loudoun County. Its 203 acres of rolling hills harbor majestic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Folks walking the park's perimeter trail often stop to watch the brilliant colors of the sunset cascading across the sky.

The pedestrian and equestrian perimeter trails are 3.5 miles long and serve many uses. The inner trail (PDF) is used primarily for horseback riding. The outer trail can be used for hiking, walking, cross-country training and dog-walking. Dogs are welcome, provided they are on a leash, and owners clean-up any waste. Dogs are not allowed in the sports complex, on the playing fields or in the fenced-in playground area.
Shaded playground with picnic area is open year-round.
Catch-and-release pond offers fishing classes.
License is required for ages 16 and over.
In addition to swimming, sporting activities include volleyball on our sand court, in-line hockey and tennis.
Sports facilities include two baseball fields, three Little League / softball fields, two soccer fields, two football / rugby / lacrosse fields and a disc golf course.
The park's rolling hills are perfect for sledding, snowboarding or cross-country skiing.
Dogs are generally allowed in parks while on a physical leash and under the control of the owner (ordinance 612.13), however, per county ordinance 1092.21, there are certain areas within parks that dogs are prohibited. Please see the ordinance language for both 612.13 and 1092.21 for more details.
