About

YAS is an after-school program for middle schoolers (grades 6-8) that provides a safe and inclusive recreation-based environment for children of working parents. The activities are designed to develop confidence by building leadership, decision making, fitness and collaborative skills.

Transportation

  • All LCPS alternate transportation requests for the 2023/2024 school year need to be made through ParentVue beginning June 12, 2023, through July 14, 2023, by 5 p.m. Alternate transportation requests reopen for the remainder of the school year on September 27, 2023. LCPS advises transportation availability is not guaranteed, and a parent/guardian must apply for approval.

About

CASA is a licensed, after-school program for elementary school students (K-5) that provides a safe, fun environment for children of working parents. The activities are designed to enhance recreation, behavior, social and physical skills.

Hours

  • From school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. Programs operate with the LCPS calendar. 

Registration Fees

  • Monthly fee: $360/child
  • Non-refundable deposit: $50/child (due at registration)
  • For the remainder of the current school year, you may register your child if there is space available.  Please call 703-777-0343 and speak to a Customer Service Assistant to check availability and get registration instructions.
  • The last day to register to start on the first day of school 2023-24 is August 17, 2023.  Once the school year begins, CASA enrollments have a 3-school day waiting period for the start date.

Transportation

  • All LCPS alternate transportation requests for the 2023/2024 school year need to be made through ParentVue beginning June 12, 2023, through July 14, 2023, by 5 p.m. Alternate transportation requests reopen for the remainder of the school year on September 27, 2023. LCPS advises transportation availability is not guaranteed, and a parent/guardian must apply for approval.

Absence

CASA programs use a software app called Brightwheel to track attendance and communicate with parents. To report an absence, please refer to the app.
