Second Suspect Apprehended in Connection with December 16th Shooting on Gannon Way

Loudoun County, VA- A second suspect involved in the December 16th shooting at a home in the CountrySide community was apprehended Monday in Prince Georges County, MD.

Marquis R. Vasciannie, 20, of Sterling, VA, was located by authorities late yesterday. He was taken into custody without incident. He is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and is being held in Maryland awaiting extradition to Loudoun County, VA.

On Monday, Victor D. Lassiter, 19, of Sterling, VA, was apprehended during the early morning hours at his home on Gable Square and was also taken into custody without incident. He is charged with robbery, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony and malicious wounding.

The arrest stems from a shooting that occurred around 4:40PM on Sunday at a home in the 20 block of Gannon Way. Deputies responded to the scene and discovered a 22-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Detectives with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office have determined the suspects were known to the victim and it appears the victim was targeted.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he remains hospitalized.
